Today we’d like to introduce you to Morongwa Mothiba.
Tell us about what you’re working on at the moment that you would love the world to know about. Give us as much detail as possible!
We have launched our first workshop on the 5th of June 2021 that will be helping skilled professionals that have lost their livelihood as a result of Covid and other retrenchments to enable them to make a living as self-employed people who can fully participate in the economy. This is important to us because we believe in the drive to fight poverty, unemployment and inequality. This is a great weapon through which we can fight. We are also in talks with social partners to develop tech programmes for underprivileged children in severely impoverished communities to sort of counterbalance the circumstances that they are in to give them a chance at success. We are excited about this and we are open to engagement from interested parties in this regard. We are also looking forward to partnerships that will help us increase our reach and impact. We have developed digital membership portals for education and agribusiness to mitigate offline disruptions due to strikes, bad weather conditions and various restrictions. Our passionate E-Health specialist has assisted patient member record-keeping, e-health consultations and various interventions that bridge the disruptions to normal patient care. Our agility in the field makes us a key partner for a global firm that is looking for an exciting collaboration team in Africa.
Is there anyone in your life you’d like to shout out that has helped you get to where you are? How have they helped you?
First and foremost I’d like to thank my dad for always believing in me even when I was a little girl that I could be a change maker. I am also grateful to God for having blessed me with my mom (may her soul rest in peace). She inspired me and thousands of other people to be exceptional and bless the world with who we are. My husband for being amazing every single day and believing in what Laude Vision is and where it’s going. Vanessa Nzadi of Wa Numbi Consulting for inspiring us with her visionary work in IT for health care. Ladi of BizzWorks for being an aesthetics guru, telling beautiful stories through picture and video. Mamose of Twin Place Trading for being exceptional at her IT for education and social transformation. Malerato of Foundations of Hope for being unrelenting in the agribusiness space. Allowing us to believe everything is possible. Mary Jane of Mathara Investments for being young and upward mobile inspiring us daily. Mixo of GeekCulture for leading the way. Most importantly God who has made me a wonder and causes me to excel in every sphere of life.
Do you have any final thoughts you would like to share with our audience?
At Laude Vision, we believe that growth and increased presence is empty if it does not result in social impact or the development of those who need a helping hand. We have been blessed to work with clients whose philosophy mirrors ours and hence our result has been collaborations that bring social change within our sphere of impact. It’s absolutely exciting to know that as our profits increase our communities improve as well. That is a blessing for which we thank God. We are continuously on the look-out for new opportunities for growth because in the words of Charlotte Maxeke we have come to know that it means that as we rise we can take others with us.
