Caribbean Entrepreneur Inspiring Others

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendal St. Louis.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

I started business almost 11 years ago. I started a facilities services business, specializing in janitorial, hygiene and the supply of hygiene products, landscaping and painting.

I started working in the construction industry and always wanted to open and run my own business. When construction had the slow no work period, that’s where starting my own company came about and I needed a name that didn’t tie back to myself but still had meaning as my age was a hinder as I thought everyone would think I was too young. The name LadNek came about which is Kendal my first name spelt backwards. I’m not quite sure how I ended up in janitorial but it really just came to me after registering the company.

Thus I have been putting in the work relentlessly for years, had a lot of ups and downs now my company has over 200 employees with clients in Trinidad and Tobago.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

I had to overcome a lot of challenges, from not having the experience, being young, not having the finances or the equipment to do the kind of jobs I would be bidding for. Sometimes losing money from jobs that were budgeted incorrectly.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I specialize in janitorial services and we love my the motto “Changing the way the World Sees Sanitation” and by that we intend to show each and everyone of our clients how important sanitation is. Customer service is our top priority and we ensure this on every job.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
