Exclusive Interview with Gerard Grogans

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gerard Grogans.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Hello, and thank you for having me. Like a lot of people, I didn’t grow up in the healthiest of family environments. There were physical, mental, and emotional and so at an early age I knew I didn’t want to be anything like my dad, much less look like him. Right?

Then one day something happened that would change my life forever. My mom and I were talking, I can’t remember about what but then she turns to me and says. Gerard, are you getting enough sleep because you’re starting to look like your dad with dark circles and bags under your eyes, just like him?

As a 10-year-old kid, I went straight to the mirror to see what she was talking about and sure enough, I could see it or I accepted what she said as my reality. From that point, I became shy, and introverted because no kid in their right mind wants to walk around looking like they haven’t had enough sleep.

Later in life, I realized that I had become a victim of the Pygmalion Effect. The Pygmalion Effect for those who don’t know what that is, it’s when someone of authority says something to you that imprints on you and changes the way you see yourself.

That experience caused me to go on to reading books on how I could transform myself and master my own psychology. Which led me to write my book. The Blueprint: How To Recreate Your Life In 6-Simple Steps.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

For most of my life, I struggled with low self-esteem and lack of confidence because when I looked in the mirror. All I could see was someone with dark circles and bags under their eyes.

This led me to eventually become a victim of plastic surgery malpractice. I lost my house, my car, and my job and I quickly spiraled into a state of depression because of how I looked. And at the time I didn’t know that any doctor with a medical degree could perform plastic surgery.

Long story short, that whole ordeal caused me to lose family and friends who I thought were close to me. But because of the surgery treated me differently and turned their backs on me and started to spread lies and rumors about me. Saying I was sick or on that stuff because this is what happens in the black community when you start looking different.

So, not only did I have to go within and really get to know myself but I had to learn to not care about what other people think. The journey was not easy and I had to pull myself from a deep state of depression because at the lowest point in my life I actually considered committing suicide. But with God’s grace and mercy, I’m still here.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

From that experience, I learned how to pull myself out of a severe state of depression, master my own psychology, and recreate myself from the inside out. I learned how to remove the unprocessed mental and emotional trauma from my past and finally become the person I knew I was meant to be, deep down inside.

I now specialize in helping people do the same. I specialize in helping people remove the mental blocks and barriers keeping them from reaching their full potential, so they can go on and create a life and business that is truly worth living.

Most people I work with have some unprocessed mental and emotional trauma from their past that they might not even realize is still running in the background of the unconscious mind, controlling everything they think and do. And it’s only when they identify and remove it that everything in their life begins to change.

I help them identify, reframe, and even rewrite the memory altogether using different healing modalities. So that they can begin to focus on what they want, and who they really want to be. So they can finally create a life and business that they believe is truly worth living.

In essence, I help them develop a new personality and recreate themselves from the inside out in 6-simple steps.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

I believe that we become what we think about the most. Meaning, if you focus on what you don’t have or what you can’t do, then that’s what you will produce because our brains don’t know what’s real or imagined.

All it knows is how we think and feel, and its job is to produce the chemical compound associated with the way that we are thinking so that we continue to think the way we feel and feel the way we think.

And so, in essence, we become what we think about the most because biologically and chemically that’s what we are producing with our thoughts. So, the more you can think about what you do want and not what you don’t want. That’s what you will produce or even attract in your life because that’s who you are on a biological and chemical level.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success to me means having peace of mind to do whatever it is you want to do and enjoying life however you see fit because you are living life from your authentic self. It means living your life on purpose and being able to make a difference in the life of someone else. It means not having to worry about money because you are doing what you are called and gifted to do for the benefit of others.

What’s next for you?

I want to have an impact on the world and be a part of this personal development movement to help as many people as I can. I want to start my own personal development company called Total Transformation Leadership Academy. Where I can help people become the best version of themselves and create a life and business that is truly worth living.

I would like to write at least three more books that show and tell the reader how to transform themselves step-by-step.

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?

They can connect with me on all social media platforms.
