Exclusive Interview With JORI MEZUDA

Today we’d like to introduce you to JORI MEZUDA.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

I grew up in Los Angeles County, California. Right after high school, I became a fond of DJing. I performed at clubs, private events, and shows.

Part of me has love for food, which made me pursue culinary school. I graduated from Academy of Culinary Education. Accomplishing my goals as a professional chef in cooking and baking.

I provided hor d’oeuvres, desserts, & prepped the main dishes alongside with Wolfgang Puck to cater The Oscars.

At the same, as I was DJing and creating food recipes, I also wanted to cook up some beats other than the kitchen. I took it up a notch and went to music production school at Icon Collective in Burbank.

I combined all my knowledge of food and music and started to create content online. I became a full-time content creator. Making videos as a DJ | CHEF | MUSIC PRODUCER

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

One of the challenges I had was when I found out my father had brain cancer called Glioblastoma Multiforme. I made a responsible choice to pause my career and take care of him 24/7. He was a big part of my life that made me grow as an adult. Showing me everything happens for a reason and when it is your time to go. May he rest in peace.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I specialize in making videos about food. I am a loving, fun person who is willing to go above and beyond every time there is a chance to work with someone. I make sure to get the job done correctly when it comes to brand deals or collabs. I know my audience and enjoy the work I do. Being polite, professional, and understanding to brainstorming ideas is my forté.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

My advice is to pray and meditate. It helps extremely because you find answers that pop up in your head. Follow your intuition. That gut feeling is real, listen to that. Have you ever felt something you had to do but you didn’t do it? Then something happened and you felt you should have done it in the first place? That right there is your intuition.

Also be in the present. There is a book I came across, which I recommend for you to read is The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. Once you do, start learning as much as you can of what you want to pursue in life. If you don’t know what you would like to do then go ahead and experience life by trying out new things. Be open minded and you will feel your spiritual awakening. Keep working on your mini goals to achieve your big goals.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success to me is the day you were born. When we were able to breathe the oxygen here on earth and be able to experience life. In addition, when you learn something and be able to share it with others that is beneficial.

What’s next for you?

My goal is to make more music and DJ all over the world while making videos, trying out different kinds of food in every culture.

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?

You can connect with me on via TikTok, Instagram, or Youtube.
