How E. Nathan Harris Built a Bilingual Law Firm With $50M in Client Recoveries

When E. Nathan Harris founded his law practice in 2010, he was entering a crowded profession. His path to growth came from becoming unusually clear about whom the firm would serve.

That focus eventually took shape as Abogados Centro Legal, legally Harris & Associates Law, LLC, a bilingual personal injury and immigration firm based in Hoover, Alabama. Over the past 15 years, the firm has recovered more than $50 million for clients while concentrating much of its work on Hispanic and immigrant families.

The strategy was rooted in a practical observation. A client can have access to an attorney and still struggle to access the legal system itself.

Finding the Gap

Language is one part of that problem. Culture and immigration status can add others.

For someone dealing with an injury or immigration matter, understanding legal terminology is already difficult. Add uncertainty about how a case might intersect with immigration concerns, along with the challenge of communicating in an unfamiliar language, and seeking representation can become considerably more intimidating.

Harris developed his firm around those realities. The practice was rebuilt and renamed in 2015, with bilingual and immigration-aware legal service becoming central to its identity.

The approach gave Abogados Centro Legal a clearly defined place in its market. Rather than trying to be everything to everyone, the firm concentrated on clients whose needs were often more complicated than the legal issue appearing on paper.

Growth Followed the Focus

The firm’s development has been accompanied by measurable results. Since 2010, Abogados Centro Legal has recovered more than $50 million for clients.

Harris has expanded his own reach as well. He was admitted to practice in Alabama in 2010, Tennessee in 2017, and Georgia in 2024.

Recognition followed. In November 2025, Harris was re-selected to The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Attorneys. His previous honors include National Trial Lawyers 40 Under 40 in 2017, Rising Stars recognition from 2019 through 2024, Birmingham Business Journal Top 40 Under 40 in 2024, and Super Lawyers recognition for 2025 and 2026.

Harris credits the broader team and the mission behind its work.

“It’s an honor to be recognized once again among the nation’s leading trial lawyers,” he said. “This acknowledgment reflects our team’s commitment to standing up for those who might otherwise be overlooked, especially immigrant families who face cultural and systemic barriers in accessing justice.”

A Business Built With a Defined Purpose

There is a useful business lesson in Harris’s trajectory. Growth does not always require casting a wider net. Sometimes it comes from understanding a specific group of clients more deeply.

His growing professional responsibilities reflect that development. Harris served as Treasurer of the Alabama Association for Justice from 2025 to 2026 before being elected Secretary for the 2026 to 2027 term.

Fifteen years after opening his practice, Harris has built a firm around a consistent premise: know whom you serve, understand the obstacles they face, and build the practice accordingly.
