Interview With The Most Versatile Sportswear In The Game DGM- Charlie Patterson, owner of DGM

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charlie Patterson, Owner Of DGM.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

The passion began growing up in the fight/fitness scene. I always admired these athletes. My father is a pro kick boxing champion now runs an MMA gym & my mother is a professional dancer & runs her own dance school (all within the one building). I remember seeing my favorite fighter “Hector Lombard” at Luna Park Sydney in the CFC. Ever since then, I’ve stayed in contact, even throughout my journey the USA, where Hector now resides in Miami FL. I myself, started fighting and dancing, auditioned for carnival cruise lines and got the job to be a professional dancer. Since then, I ended up moving to Ocala FL where I started my USA journey. It was only up until almost 3 years ago, I decided to think of the best way to merge everything together in one, and that was by creating urban apparel that relates to everyone, especially with the way social media is blowing up & how successful gymshark, alphalete, asrv and many more companies have been. It wasn’t up until my first year in business I started to realize that a lot of these verified celebrities & athletes are now reaching out to even create custom clothing because they are such fans of the material and design I use. Now, I create custom fight shorts & robes for big names in the boxing industry. I’ve also sponsored many different athletes in a broad range of sports.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Being a new apparel company in the industry, the biggest challenge for us was Covid, marketing with competition whether it be on ads or in person & prospecting with local gyms/athletes.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I create custom fight shorts & robes for big names in the boxing industry. I’ve also sponsored many different athletes in a broad range of sports. I can create anything you want with the most elite material in the game.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Stay committed, learn, enjoy the process, stay positive, take away any distractions & avoid getting burned out. It will all payoff in the end if you stick to your guns & don’t listen to a word any haters have to say. You will succeed if you’re disciplined. As our motto states, “Discipline Generates Momentum” DGM.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

I truly believe success is something that you have to define & create for yourself, no one can do this for you. It can even mean the small things in life, a sense of accomplishment & career progression. A one size fits all approach is impossible, it’s entirely up to you.

What’s next for you?

We have a lot of new designs & partnership announcements coming very soon. Stay tuned.

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?
