American Karate Senior Master Jamie Cashion, a 7th Degree Black Belt and nationally recognized martial arts instructor, was officially inducted into the Action Martial Arts Hall of Honor during the 2017 Award Ceremonies held January 26 through 29 at the Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The prestigious event, often referred to as the “Academy Awards of Martial Arts,” brought together top martial arts masters, combat sports celebrities, and action film legends from around the world to celebrate lifetime achievements and excellence in the field.

The 2017 Mega Weekend featured not only the Hall of Honor induction ceremony, but also a full schedule of seminars, tournaments, MMA fights, and a major health and fitness expo. The event drew thousands of attendees, from seasoned martial artists to young students and fans, all gathering to witness and participate in one of the largest celebrations of martial arts in the world.

Jamie Cashion Honored for Martial Arts Excellence and Lifelong Service

Jamie Cashion has been a martial arts teacher and leader for nearly 30 years, earning a national reputation for his technical mastery, leadership, and dedication to using martial arts as a vehicle for positive change. His induction into the Action Martial Arts Hall of Honor marks yet another milestone in a career filled with accolades, respect, and a deep commitment to service.

As a longtime community advocate, Jamie Cashion has worked extensively with at-risk youth and underprivileged children in Texas and internationally. His humanitarian work has taken him to places such as Africa, where he has used martial arts as a tool for empowerment, confidence building, and character development.

“You never know when that certain person you’re going to touch is going to be a world-changer someday,” said Jamie Cashion. “I constantly feel blessed for all of the opportunities that I have had in the martial arts.”

Jamie Cashion’s resilience and strength have defined both his martial arts career and his life story. At just 16 years old, he survived a near-fatal grass fire while serving as a volunteer firefighter. That moment of adversity helped shape his outlook and forged the foundation for a lifetime of service and perseverance.

A Legacy of Recognition and Inspiration

Jamie Cashion has received honors from some of the most respected institutions in martial arts. These include the Masters Hall of Fame, the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame, the Legends of Martial Arts Hall of Fame, and the California Martial Arts Museum Wall of Honor. He has also been recognized with the Golden Shuto Award from Official Karate Magazine and the Black Belt Achievement Award from the American Martial Arts Alliance.

Jamie Cashion has also been honored by U.S. Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton with the Presidential Sport Award. In Texas, former State Senator Mike Moncrief presented him with the Texas Martial Arts Award for his dedication to both the discipline and the community.

In 2016, Jamie Cashion returned to his roots in another meaningful way, serving as the keynote speaker at the Joshua High School Teachers Convocation, a heartfelt moment as he addressed the faculty of his alma mater.

Action Martial Arts Mega Weekend Supports the Next Generation

The 2017 Mega Weekend was more than a celebration of achievement. It also served to benefit “Kickin’ It,” a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and empowering children to stand against bullying. With over 60 free seminars and the Action Martial Arts Kids Choice Awards, the weekend highlighted the importance of shaping future generations through values rooted in discipline, respect, and kindness.

Jamie Cashion’s induction into the Action Martial Arts Hall of Honor reflects a lifetime of service, integrity, and devotion to the martial arts. His journey continues to inspire those who train under him and those who watch from afar. With each award, lesson, and life he touches, Jamie Cashion proves that the spirit of martial arts extends far beyond the dojo.
