Staci Vanzant Expands Living Mindfully to Help Caregivers Confront Burnout

When the Helper Needs Help

There is an uncomfortable contradiction built into many helping professions. The people trained to recognize distress in others can become remarkably skilled at overlooking it in themselves.

Staci Vanzant, LCSW, NBC-HWC, has spent her career close to that reality. As a licensed therapist, board-certified health and wellness coach, and founder of Living Mindfully, LLC, she works with people navigating stress and the demands that accumulate when caring for others becomes part of the job.

Now, Vanzant is expanding that work beyond the counseling setting. Through keynote speaking, workshops, corporate wellness programming, and restorative retreats, she is bringing a simple message to healthcare professionals, therapists, educators, and other caregivers: caring for yourself should not be treated as something you earn after everyone else has been taken care of.

“Those who spend their lives caring for others often become the last people they care for,” Vanzant says. “My mission is to help the helpers help themselves by making self-care a professional strength rather than a personal luxury. When caregivers are supported, everyone benefits.”

Moving Beyond Traditional Wellness

The expansion comes as organizations across healthcare, education, mental health, and related fields continue to wrestle with chronic workplace stress and burnout.

For Vanzant, the issue requires more than another generic wellness initiative. Her approach centers on giving professionals practical ways to recognize chronic stress, restore their energy, strengthen resilience, and reconnect with the parts of life that can quietly disappear beneath demanding workloads.

That philosophy shapes Living Mindfully, a counseling, coaching, and professional wellness company built around sustainable well-being. Its services span individual therapy and coaching as well as speaking engagements, workshops, and immersive retreat experiences.

The company recently completed its second retreat and is currently accepting reservations for future events, giving Vanzant another setting in which to explore what meaningful restoration can look like away from the pressures of everyday work.

A New Chapter for Living Mindfully

Vanzant’s participation in Speakpreneur’s speaker development event marks another step in the company’s growth, particularly as she moves further into professional speaking and organizational wellness.

It is a natural extension of work she has already been doing one person at a time.

The premise behind it is straightforward. Helping professionals cannot indefinitely give from depleted reserves. Supporting their well-being has consequences that reach beyond the individual, affecting colleagues, workplaces, families, and ultimately the people who depend on their care.

For Vanzant, that makes self-care less about indulgence and more about staying capable of doing meaningful work for the long haul.
