The Grand Season Finale with the Miami Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Eduardo Marturet, exceeded all expectations as it transported audiences into a world of symphonic splendor at the Knight Concert Hall, Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts on April 21st.
The evening began with a mesmerizing performance of Langsamer Satz by Webern, arranged by Maestro Eduardo Marturet himself. This enchanting opening set the stage for an extraordinary musical journey. The highlight of the first half was the exceptional talent of violinist KJ McDonald, a star student of Itzhak Perlman, whose performance of Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor left audiences spellbound with its virtuosity and emotional depth.
The second part of the concert took listeners on a captivating journey through Symphony No. 7 by Jean Sibelius, showcasing the orchestra’s impeccable artistry and Maestro Marturet’s masterful interpretation.
The climax of the evening came with the Mystery Piece, where Maestro Marturet delighted the audience with a special performance from Finlandia by Jean Sibelius. The Mystery Piece Contest, generously sponsored by the Ritz-Carlton South Beach, added an element of excitement to the event, offering attendees the chance to participate and win a luxurious two-night stay.
